For my final project in my 3D modeling course, I decided to model a docking station for a Nintendo Switch with a Super Mario theme. I began by creating a mood board to serve as inspiration for the shape and the color scheme of the docking station. I ended up settling on a retro arcade system form with the colors red, blue, purple, and black.
I continued the process by sketching what I envisioned the Nintendo Switch Docking Station would look like, based on the mood board and my project vision.
From there, I used calipers to measure my Nintendo Switch and worked in Fusion 360 to model my docking station. I decided to remove my name from the model to achieve a more authentic arcade design.
